Bonjour from Paris!

As you can read from my title of this post, “perfect” is pretty impossible. I touched on this term many times in my previous posts in relation to dieting. And today, I wanted to give you an idea how a perfect day of dieting for me would look like in this ideal world :).

A Perfect Day of Dieting…

The night before my official day of dieting, I would aim to go to bed before 12 AM. I don’t think staying up too late is healthy in general. I also try not to eat anything after 12 AM, because apparently your body is not able to digest the food too well when eating super late.

When I wake up, I prefer to wake up early in the morning like 6-7 AM- that way I can get many things done for the day. I would start preparing to go to the gym and doing my workouts. And after a successful workout session, I immediately prepare something healthy for my breakfast. Something that includes healthy fats, protein and carbs such as one or two slices of toasts, eggs and veggies. Or maybe a green smoothie with spinach of course!

I loveeee the Parisian architecture…

Okay, so once I’m done with my breakfast, I would do some work or run errands. If I’m out of the house, I’ll obviously grab some snacks with me- and only healthy snacks such as fruits and veggies. I try not to eat out at restaurants, because you never know what ingredients they put in your dishes. Oh, I’m also aiming to drink 3 cups of green tea in a day, because green tea is packed with great health benefits and it’s good for my diet!

For dinner, I would whipped up a salad with lean protein such as chicken. At some point, I’m tempted to give my Ben & Jerry’s Cookie Dough ice cream a try, but noo! It’s bad and eating that will basically waste a day of being good. I manage to resist my cravings and go to bed- ideally before 12 AM. And yet, I’m still hungry, angry and frustrated.

The new diet is NO DIET

This is how a perfect day of my diet would look like in my head. What I forgot to mention is that often times I follow everything exactly until I eventually fall into temptation of eating something naughty. The worst part is that once I fall into temptation, I would feel so guilty of myself that I would eat and eat- absolutely having no self-control whatsoever. Honestly, I’m tired of this diet mindset that everything has to be clean and healthy. And if you don’t do something according to plan, you’ll fail.

Today I decided…NO MORE DIETS! Okay, let me rephrase it. THE NEW DIET IS NO DIET. So stay tuned.

Have an awesome day!

[…] You have already seen me wearing this coat in Paris, it’s my big oversized gray coat from Zara. I’m so in love with it. It’s perfect for this kind of day, where I just want to bundle myself up. Not only is it big and cozy, but it also gives your overall look a sophisticated edge. […]
